Principal Scientist
Pfizer Inc
Andover, Massachusetts
I am a molecular cell biologist and bioanalyst with expertise in biotherapeutic discovery and development.
I obtained my bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and Ph.D. in cancer biology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UT Southwestern) where I worked on understanding the regulation of cellular processes by with no lysine (WNK) kinase pathway. Then, I obtained my postdoctoral training at UT Southwestern and Beckman Research Institute at City of Hope, CA.
I joined Ab Studio, Inc. in 2020 as a Senior Scientist and worked on characterization of novel antibody therapeutics. Next, I joined Prellis Biologics, Inc. in 2022 as a Senior Scientist and worked to develop a lymph node organoid (LNO)-based ex-vivo immune platform. There, I worked on LNO culture and immune cell characterization by multi-parameter flow cytometry.
Next, I joined Pfizer, Inc. as a Principal Scientist in the Cellular Biomeasures team in the Biomarkers and Biomeasures Group, Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics and Metabolism (PDM) Department. In my current role, I work to develop and implement flow cytometry- and imaging cytometry-based assays to quantitatively measure targets and functions of biotherapeutics in different cell populations and systems.
