I am a trained biochemist with a PhD in Immunology and over 20 years of experience in academic research. My work has primarily focused on animal models for autoimmune and infectious diseases, the interaction of the immune system with polymeric biomaterials, and transplantation virology and immunology. Throughout my career, I have co-authored more than 75 publications listed on PubMed, achieving an h-index of 21.
I have developed outstanding expertise in immunology, viral infections in immunocompromised patients, translational approaches, advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), and diagnostics. Since November 2022, I have been serving as the Director of Soluble Factors at CheckImmune GmbH. In this role, I concentrate on biomarker identification, assay development and validation, and therapy monitoring in clinical trials. My work ensures the safety, pharmacodynamics (PD), pharmacokinetics (PK), and patient stratification through a wide range of validated assays. Additionally, our team offers consulting services on biomarker studies with a focus on novel immunotherapeutics, including small molecules, biologics, and ATMPs.
